THIS plume of white feathers is all that remains of a cockatoo after it was SWALLOWED by a PYTHON.
The killer snake was spotted by an artist who heard a loud squawk as she painted in her studio.
Cindy Lane found the beast wrapping itself around the bird in her tree's branches in Cairns, Australia.
"I considered jumping in to save him, but his last breath was literally being squeezed from him as we approached," she reportedly said.
It took about two hours for the snake to finish off its feathery meal.
"It was difficult to watch but at the same time mesmerising," said Cindy.
