George town botanical garden in host to many urban parrot species. We recently showed you a beautiful capture of a local orange winged amazon.
More older are the reports of Festive Parrots (Amazona festiva) in the capital city of Guyana. The only know urban population of this species.
Today reports reach us that Red-shouldered macaw are also resident and seem to occupy nesting space. Making Georgetown one of the most parrot diverse capital cities in the world.
